My stay at Silver Lake is always a wonderful experience. Even my friends and co-workers who have seen the property are always amazed at what a great find this B&B is. When you look at the competition, you can easily see that Silver Lake is a good value; you could pay almost double on the boardwalk and won't receive breakfast.
The rooms are peaceful and adequate. Though there could be some interior re-decoration, the rooms are completely clean and comfortable. Linens are always clean, and fluffy white towels in the bathroom. There is wi-fi access and great extras, they will let you borrow everything from coolers to beach chairs for your stay.
What makes the B&B seem like a warm home are the gracious hosts, Mark and Joe. They are always accomodating and welcoming. I find breakfast to be quite a treat, with fresh fruits, bagels, muffins, and homemade preserves. The common breakfast area is also nice, it's a a sun-filled room overlooking the lake, perfect for relaxing - with the exception of the strange, garish artworks on the walls. But even the artwork inspires conversation. I think I love the roofdeck the most. You can usually catch some great sun there and an ocean breeze as well. You'll be far away from the loud boardwalk sounds, and there is even a fountain on the roofdeck for tranquility.
The B&B seems to attract a better crowd of people; you won't find college partiers or large families packed in rooms here. I enjoy the overall friendliness of the B&B. This is my second stay here and I look forward to years to come!
