“Must go destination”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This is a very interesting museum staffed by very gracious and knowledgeable volunteers. You will see an important part of our defense history and get to go on some fascinating airplanes. The museum has just acquired a former Air Force #2 and it will be open to go on in the spring. Call the museum to find out when it will be open. If you are in the Dover area, this is a museum well worth the stop.

“Very nicely done.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

The museum focus is on transport aircraft a few I flew on and others I saw while I served from 1966 to 1970. Several of the planes were open. The C141 had examples of 3 configurations. Air Evac, Troop Carrier and Cargo. The displays in the hanger were very nicely done and informative. Really like the Berlin Air liff and the one on the evacuation of Vietam at the end.

“Great Aircraft Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

This museum is well worth the visit for aviation enthusiasts. The museum covers the range of aircraft that have operated from Dover with emphasis on transport aircraft (not surprisingly).
The museum often open up some aircraft for inspection. As part of the USAF museum network, a few aircraft are unique to the museum.
A highlight is the B-17 display, one of the best I have seen.
