I recently stayed at the Sebastian Vail for a business conference and was blown away by the Hotel. The service was beyond expectations (and I've stayed there for a family vacation and had very high expectations). The staff, from Kiki at the front desk to Lance the GM, were as helpful as could be.
The accommodations are as luxurious and tasteful as I've ever seen at a mountain resort (I've stayed at the Snake River Lodge in Jackson Hole, the St. Regis in Deer Valley, etc). From the artwork to the soaring lobby, you have the feeling of elegance throughout the hotel. And the rooms are clean comfortable and perfect after a day of meetings, skiing or hiking.
The banquet food was exceptional, and the restaurants serve outstanding meals. While you'll want to experience Vail's great dining options, don't miss the ones under your nose.
While I didn't have the need for the basecamp for skiing this trip, I remember the joy of strolling to the slopes in Uggs and having my heated boots and skis waiting for me 50 feet from the slopes.
Having stayed in a number of Vail properties over the years, and visited the Sebastian for business and family travel, I can say it is the best hotel in Vail.

Room tip: The higher the better the view will be, but you won't be spending much time in your room, so it really doesn't matter.

I attended the Macaroni Kid Meetup at the Sebastian and was floored with how amazing this hotel was. I have spent many nights in hotels in many countries across the world and I can honestly say that the service at the Sebastian is the top hotel I have stayed at in relation to customer service. The lobby is impressive and cozy. We stayed during the off season, but it makes you feel like it is the perfect place to get snowed in. The moment we arrived we were offered cold water while we checked in. I stayed in a classic room on the interstate side of the hotel. The rooms were a nice size with comfortable beds. If I really listened I could hear interstate traffic (as mentioned in a few reviews), but I think most people would not be bothered by the closeness to the interstate. I am typically a light sleeper and never once was awake due to street noise. What was really nice about the service was the twice daily room cleanings with water and a cookie being provided before bedtime. I also really enjoyed the stocked fridge with drinks and the fresh fruit on the desk. Their signature line of products in the bathroom were amazing! I even stopped by the spa before leaving to find out how I can order it at a later time! I was also able to see a suite on the 4th floor and it was beautiful with a fabulous view of the mountain. The conference center is spacious and staff during the conference was wonderful. I have a food allergy and staff checked every item that was being served. When the manager realized that they were serving a soup that had what I was allergic to, they prepared something different instead of telling me to just skip it. I saw them make this accommodation with numerous attendants of this conference. It is nice to know that they take food allergies seriously. I have stayed at many other places and attended many other conferences that do not handle allergies well. Their care is regards to allergies was extremely appreciated!
I also work out and really enjoyed the fitness center! I was able to warm up and do some of my sets. At 6am it was empty and I was able to use the space fully alone. Towels were available as well as ear phones to listen to the music on my phone. I then went downstairs and ran 2 miles in town. When I walked back in the door of the lobby the person at the hotel desk immediately ask if I wanted some water and asked if I had enjoyed my run. Really any time you walked by the front desk you were greeted. I also really appreciated the front desk staff sharing good restaurants in town instead of always suggesting the in hotel restaurant. It was nice to hear what places were available to change up our menu over our stay!
We spent many evenings at Frost and Martin was a fabulous bartender! The Blueberry Infused Martini and Mojitos were amazing!
Not only am I hoping to return to this hotel to vacation with my family, but it would be the perfect location for another girls weekend!

I will never stay anywhere else while in Vail! This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfortable that I didn't want to get up when I needed to. The thing that stood out most during my time at the hotel, was the staff. From the time I pulled up to the door, everyone from the valet to the concierge, housekeeping and general hotel staff was over the top helpful and amazing! I never wanted for anything and that made all the difference in the world! I would take my family back in a heartbeat!

I had the joy of staying at the Sebastian in mid-October and can't wait to come back. I felt like I was royalty. Everywhere I turned, there was somewhere there to help me. Our room was kept extremely neat and clean and I loved the cookies given to us during the nightly "turndown service." At one point, I stepped out of a meeting so that I could do some Facetime with my kids. I was trying to find somewhere quiet and private. I looked up from my phone and there was a staff member who quickly showed me the business area which was the perfect place for my call with my kids. I can't say enough about every experience that I had with the staff and the hotel is beautiful. I can't wait to return with my family!

I had the great pleasure of hosting an event for 100 + at the Sebastian Vail and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Truly, I've been ruined for all others. The hotel is gorgeous and elegant and the location is fabulous. But what truly distinguishes the Sebastian from all others is an incredible level of service that is delivered by everyone of their staff in the most accommodating and genuine way possible. Absolutely every aspect of our recent conference, which included cocktail parties, general sessions, meals and more, went off perfectly and the entire Sebastian team stood by ready to lend a hand at every turn. If you are planning an event, a wedding or just looking for a fab place to visit with your family I cannot give the Sebastian a high enough endorsement.
