Reservation made by employer. I showed up at around 2pm to check in. Desk clerk on cellular phone. She told the person on the cell phone to hold on and asked me if she could help me. When I told her I needed to check in, she told me no one could check in until 3p and walked away going back to her conversation on the cell phone. Later that night, I called for a wake up call. The first time I received an answering machine. Later I spoke to the clerk and she took the request and told me I was "all set". I did not receive the wake up call the next morning and was nearly late for work.

We stayed here over the Super 8 because of reviews we read online. First of all, the room had previously been a smoking room that was cleaned, but there remained a funky odor that bothered me the whole time. Secondly, the bed was horrible. I got no sleep because of the bed springs digging into my back. The pillows sucked, so I brought my own in and then forgot to take it with me when we checked out...breakfast was ok, not bad considering the place. Had a lot of similar offerings as a Hampton Inn (our preferred hotel), except no waffles, but I never eat waffles anyway. Overall, the stay was pretty bad. I almost forgot, the bathroom shower and toilet is way too small and the lighting is terrible! I couldn't shave because of the poor lighting! My advice is don't stay anywhere in Leadville! Keep on going through...

Clean, reasonable, decent breakfast, GREAT VIEWS, quiet, friendly staff.

Stayed here during the Leadville 100 Trail Race. Average room, beds a little soft. Clean. Good breakfast offering. Appreciated the early race breakfast (1am to 230am) - thank you! Staff friendly.
