The hotel looked good and the check-in staff was friendly. When we checked in it was approximately 38 degrees outside and the room was cold with no heat. We set the thermostat up and went to dinner (great restaurant downtown serving only filet mignon).
We returned and found the room as cold as before - and upon investigaton found the window was fully open behind the closed curtain (now below 38 degrees). Closed the window and tried to stay warm, waiting for the baseboard heat to kick in) A strange, unpleasant oder permeated the no-smoking room as the heat reached 60 degrees by midnight. I went to the front desk for assistance with the situation and found the area locked and dark. We toughed it out and left as soon as practical the next morning.
