I needed a place to stay that was close to where I needed to be so I made reservations here. First of all there is no such thing as reservations here. At that time i asked the guy how the rooms were because the reviews i had read were terrible but older reviews. Then there was a newer review that leads you to believe they have remodeled and the place has changed. The guy basically said that they have updated some of them and are sold out every night. So I assumed that perhaps they were remodeled and decent. And I was on a budget and this place was cheap. The outside was scary as I drove up but decided to give them the benefit of doubt. The room did smell nice and the carpet was fairly decent but the lady at the front desk said she was putting me in a room with a new bed. The bed was not new and the bathroom was terrible. The floor was sinking in and you could see the crawl space underneath. The location was scary. I was truely afraid to leave my car outside and would never dream of walking anywhere around there. I ended up calling the front desk and telling her i was checking out. She said there was no refunds. So i cut my loses and moved to a cleaner, safer and more relaxing hotel. There was also several "scary" people lingering around outside the rooms as if they lived there all the time. Overall this was the worst experience of my life. I would never recommend this motel to my worst enemy. And thats being kind about it.

Looking at all those old reviews i thought id like to input and update it a little.

Seems in 08 the old owners that had "crappy" rooms had sold it to new owners that also own the Weekly Inn.

these owners know there stuff! they revamped all the rooms with new paint and good smelling sheets. I remember talking to the Triple AAA pest guy when he sprayed outside for the White Swan and he commented that it has the lowest amt of bugs ever he has seen.

I'm impressed with how things are working out for them and i plan to visit them soon.

If you can afford it, go somewhere else!
This motel is a dive, to put it bluntly.
I stayed there a few years ago, and couldn't wait to leave; I stayed there 2 nights.
The rooms were musty, moldy, dull, dark chocolate brown interior. Very depressing.
On my first night there I needed ice cubes for my coke. There was no ice machine on the premises, but the receptionist gave me 3 weird looking ice cubes from behind the motel counter. The ice cubes looked old, they were solid white color, like a billiard ball! I threw them out.
This motel's better days are long gone.....go somewhere else. Enough said.

I recently stayed at the White Swan Motel located near Colfax Ave and Kendall Street. Aside from the musty smell, the dirty, cracked walls, they had roaches. Also, I woke up in the middle of the night, with what I thought was some sort of rash or hives all over my my body. I went to my dermatologist and got it checked out that very day, because I itched like crazy. It turns out that my "rash" was really bed bug bites. The sad part was, this wasn't a "cheap motel." I paid the same amount I would have paid had I gone to the Adam's Mark, or Comfort Inn, etc. Please, do yourself a favor and don't stay at the White Swan Motel.
