“Wonderful stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

On a last-minute trip to Grand Junction, we chose the Los Altos Bed & Breakfast. It was more than described! We arrived after dark and used a GPS; one has to drive through a neighborhood to reach it and directions are necessary. The house sits atop a hill overlooking a beautiful golf course. There are great vistas from every balcony. Owner Lee Garrett met us graciously and quickly helped us settle in to the Executive Suite, a second-floor apartment over the three-car garage. We had a living/dining/kitchen with two bedroom areas and a bath (complete with shower and jet tub). Perfect! Comfortable, quiet and with a balcony where we could sit and watch the night sky full of stars.

We enjoyed a full breakfast each morning in the house. One morning we were the only guests but the other 4 days, all the rooms were full. We chose the later (8:30 a.m.) breakfast time. The selections were different each morning and were mouth-watering delicious. Waffle with strawberries, omelet, stuffed french toast, etc. All with great coffee, fruit and water or oj.

The Garretts offered us friendly hospitality and seemed to truly enjoy their visitors. We loved the town of Grand Junction and its easy access to great restaurants and four national parks/monuments.

For a quiet respite with low-key activities galore to choose from, one could not ask for a better place to pass a few days!

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at Los Altos bed and breakfast on multiple occasions, and at varying times of year. Los Altos is always high on our list of highlights anytime we pass through Colorado. It is seated at the highest point within the city of Grand Junction, and the views go on for miles. From this vantage point, you can see the Colorado National Monument, the Grand Mesa, and the Bookcliffs. Simply gorgeous!

The facilities are spotless, the rooms both comfortable and beautiful. Innkeepers Lee and Young Ja are ever welcoming, and are a fantastic resource for dining recommendations and local points of interest. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious!

After discovering this spot, we have recommended it to many of our friends. All were impressed, and look forward to returning!

If you're looking for accommodations in Western Colorado, look no further! This is the place!

“Wonderful location and great hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2010

We stayed at Los Altos for 2 nights and can only highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, and we had an amazing room (the Vista Suite). Our stay was only further enhanced by the expert advice given by Lee, who gave us great tips on where to visit and how to get there, making our holiday even more memorable! Both the back road to Moab (128) and Dead Horse Point State Park were even more amazing than Arches Nat'l Park, and if it hadn't been for Lee we would never have known to go.
Many thanks, Joanne & Kenny

“Perfect way to begin a trip to the southwest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

We flew in late and checked in even later after a nice meal in town. Our only trouble occured in the first five minutes when I didn't know that the house was up the hill from the mailbox - out of sight at the end of the block especially in the dark. I had to call the owner at 11:30 and felt guilty for being lost. He couldn't have been nicer and got me to the house in 2 minutes. When we went inside, we went directly up to ur very nice, comfortable, homey and clean room and went right to sleep. Upon waking up, we opened the indow out onto a bueatiful vista. The house is perched at the top of a hill and looks out onto the spectacular buttes surrounding Grand Junction. We were only there for one night and had to run to the car for the ride down to Moab. However, we did stay for a very enjoyable meal where we chatted with the innkeepers and ate french toast. After just one night, we felt like we were already relaxed and vacationing. A really nice night.
