On a last-minute trip to Grand Junction, we chose the Los Altos Bed & Breakfast. It was more than described! We arrived after dark and used a GPS; one has to drive through a neighborhood to reach it and directions are necessary. The house sits atop a hill overlooking a beautiful golf course. There are great vistas from every balcony. Owner Lee Garrett met us graciously and quickly helped us settle in to the Executive Suite, a second-floor apartment over the three-car garage. We had a living/dining/kitchen with two bedroom areas and a bath (complete with shower and jet tub). Perfect! Comfortable, quiet and with a balcony where we could sit and watch the night sky full of stars.
We enjoyed a full breakfast each morning in the house. One morning we were the only guests but the other 4 days, all the rooms were full. We chose the later (8:30 a.m.) breakfast time. The selections were different each morning and were mouth-watering delicious. Waffle with strawberries, omelet, stuffed french toast, etc. All with great coffee, fruit and water or oj.
The Garretts offered us friendly hospitality and seemed to truly enjoy their visitors. We loved the town of Grand Junction and its easy access to great restaurants and four national parks/monuments.
For a quiet respite with low-key activities galore to choose from, one could not ask for a better place to pass a few days!
