“No complaints.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This hotel is about as adequate as one can get for lodging. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and had free breakfast. It was also ideally located amongst a lot of excellent shopping and dining options.

There isn't anything particularly flashy or fancy worth mentioning about this hotel, but it does have all the essentials and goes beyond the bare minimum.

I can't think of one bad thing to say about this hotel...I would definitely stay here again.

“Decent stay - furniture/equipment desperately need an update.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed for a long weekend in a king suite. The location was great with lots of convenient shopping and restaurants nearby. Just a tad bit out of range for walking to DU or the train. Cabs or cars would be advised.

The pullout couch was absolutely the worst I have ever sat on (that includes college furniture which was likely pulled from a dumpster). When we pulled out the bed it had broken springs, little padding and bars pushing through every 18 inches or so. I ended up sleeping the first night perpendicular which is saying something since I am 6'4 and this was basically the width of love seat. We had to prop up the bottom on ottomans. At breakfast we told the front desk who said they would check it. By 4:00 PM no word so we checked on it and were promised a rollaway which arrived a few hours later.

The compressor on the fridge loudly clunked every time it switched off - which was often. This added to an interesting sleeping experience.

Note that the suite had a stovetop and a microwave but no oven. We only had one glass and the sharpest knife was basically the equivalent of a butter knife.

Pros: Convenient Location, good price, large rooms (King Suite).
Cons: Old broken furniture, kitchen more convenience than functional and the service could be more speedy and efficient.

“Wish I lived there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

I was helping my son move to a nearby apt. in Denver and we stopped by to see if the Hampton had room and if it was affordable. The rate was so reasonable and we enjoyed our stay. Even my son commented how kind and helpful the front staff was, which they were. The hotel has a great location - close to great shops and hiking. The exercise room is open 24 hours and the pool/hot tub until midnight. There are cookies and flavored water always available at the front as well as bagged breakfasts to go. The breakfasts are delicious and a little different each day. The room is excellent for working because of the desk and internet, if needed. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable of any hotel I've stayed in. I can't wait to return to see our son. I told my husband that's where we'll stay.

“Great value near Denver”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I've found this Hampton Inn to be a great place to stay when visiting my daughters who live in the Cheesman Park area. Easy access to I25, Cherry Creek Mall, and the great shops and restaurants in the Cherry Creek area. Close to the Botanical Garden, Science Museum and Zoo. Not as expensive as downtown Denver hotels, free parking and within walking distance of several chain restaurants and a Whole Foods grocery store. I've also stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn three blocks away which is a newer, more modern hotel but is typically more expensive and doesn't have microwaves or refrigerators in the room and doesn't offer Pay Per View movies in the room. Hampton Inn provides free breakfast in the morning and warm cookies in the afternoon but does not have an on-site restaurant. Staff is personable and always willing to help out. It has become my home-away-from-home!

Room Tip: West facing rooms have a lovely view of the Rockies (behind the strip mall across the street).
