“Perfect for our needs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

This is absolutely the best value in the historic downtown. Friendly check-in with a wonderful dinner suggestion (Tequilla's). Great end to a long day's drive by being able to park, unload, and walk to get dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable with an added bonus of a balcony. Breakfast was oatmeal, which is exactly what we needed to get going. We were able to leave our car in the Lodge's parking lot to take a walk around town before having to get back on the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and just fine for one night. Great location, which is why I picked it. Walking distance to lots of places, including the train.

“Good Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

This hotel is right in the historic district and probably the best value. Although the rooms need updating, they're very clean. Not much of a breakfast...doughnuts and other breads and coffee, but there's plenty of good food nearby. They DON'T have a washer or dryer. Staff is pleasant and the nicest part was when the housekeeper found my ring and turned it in to the management. Very honest person named Rosemary. So, I recommend the Durango Lodge.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony

“Small but nice.”

We would stay here again. The price was right, close to shopping, food, and the main reason we were there, the trip on the train.
Tiny eating area for about 5 people.
