We had a great two night stay at the Knights Inn. The room was a lot larger than we expected and very clean! The beds left something to be desired, but for the rate we paid I am 100% happy. If we go back to Durango we will will probably stay here again.

Driving in from Salt Lake City by motorcycle, the four of us had a long fun day on the road.
The Knight's Inn on the north end of town was an easy pick for us.
Our room rate was $45 for 2 queen beds; a Friday night in October. We're happy with the price.
Yes the room and furnishings are tired and worn as previous reviewers mentioned. So what? We came to sleep, shower and hit the road for another 500+ miles tomorrow.
This place fits the purpose.
BTW the desk clerk looks remarkably well for a guy purporting to be 76. May I age that well too! He steered us to Francisco's in downtown Durango (separate review).

First up I'd like to say that if you review a place you should at least get your facts straight. Did you actually stay in this particular hotel or the one down the road? And secondly, yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But if you've paid $55 and get two queen beds, his 'n' hers sinks, separate bathroom, TV, A/C, fridge and microwave as well as free WiFi - what is there to complain about? Surely not mold on some grouting. Believe me, we've stayed in some fabulous places round the world and they were prone to the odd stray hair on a pillow....

Seriously though we spent two nights, and enjoyed (free) breakfasts and the chance to swap stories with staff and guests. The cleaning team gave useful tips on places to eat - one of which completely made our stay. (More elsewhere). Melissa, Dale, Andrea and metal-friend - you were brilliant and someone needs to say so!

I'm not sure what some of these reviewers are expecting out of a hotel in this price range. I paid 45 bucks and a mere 8 dollar pet fee, and I did NOT expect the Hilton! What I got was a clean room, a comfortable bed, an internet signal, a fridge a microwave and a good hot shower. What more do you want? If you have a problem, tell the staff. They'll bend over backwards for you. I had a slight problem in my room and they upgraded me at no additional cost, no hesitation, like they were very glad to do it. The silver haired Texan at the counter was the most delightful person to deal with, I wanted to linger just to converse with him. These people are kind and helpful and the rooms are a great bargain.
