Overall it was a good stay, reasonable fees, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The family had settled into bed and most had fallen asleep when we discovered that the fold out bed was completely broken. The front desk staff offered a room exchange, but that didn't sound optimal when everyone was dressed for bed and our luggage unpacked. I asked if we could switch the sofa from another room.
The front desk person (didn't get his name), came up to the 4th floor and helped move a sofa at 11PM from a room right across the hallway.
There were a couple of minor issues that normally I'd overlook:
slow elevator - sometimes up to 30 seconds before it began moving
shower curtain - mishung and a few curtain rings missing (who steals curtain rings)
exercise room - both Precor treadmills were broken with some type of error (again the front desk person was helpful in resetting these after he phoned the maintenance person)
In the end everything was ok. But, I hesitate to rate it higher. I am a long-time Marriott member and vacation timeshare owner. I'd expect more from Marriott. The helpfulness of the staff helped to offset the disappointment in the mechanicals.
