San Mortiz is a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The buildings themselves are somewhat dated, but they are in a convenient location to ski in and ski out. They also have all the things you need. I found it a little strange that there were not washer and dryer hookups in the 4 bedroom condo we stayed in, but we took one load of laundry down to the basement where they have washers and dryers and it worked well. The people running the condo and really most of the town were significantly more "mom and pop" than the I-70 corridor of ski resorts. Mostly it was refreshing on our vacation but I could see times when it might be frustrating. Everyone was really nice, helpful and responsive but we were also there in the early season when it wasn't too crowded so it worked well. I would recommend the San Moritz as a place to stay especially for a family. It is near the slopes and worked well for us. I would recommend it more for the family type trip than the luxury get away because the building is a little dated.
