We just returned from a 5 night stay at Creekside at Beaver Creek. We were disappointed, to say the least. While the rooms are spacious, the layout of the property is a huge maze of mini-staircases and there's at least one dead-end elevator option for every room that WON'T take you to your room but to a nearly identically numbered room in another building. As the manager explains in a lengthy review of all the policies and rules, everyone stays lost for the first few days. There are even a huge flight of stairs leading to the front door--eliminating any possibility of easy luggage retrieval from car to room (no luggage carts, no bellman, no help whatsoever with baggage, luggage or groceries) -- with all the multiple stairs to ALL rooms at this property, carts would be of no use anyway.

One other annoying thing which made it seem more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel--the management is only on the premises from 8-5:00 each day. There is a tiny lobby and a tv room adjacent which wasn't made available to us (nor were we apprised of its existence until our departure day.)

There are no toiletries provided and the furnishings, especially in the "older" --"A"-- Building are extremely dated (80's decor in our 3 br condo). All in all, it was the one of the most expensive condos I've ever paid for with the absolute fewest amenities.

One more distressing and yet extremely important detail--they use the term "ski in/out" VERY loosely in describing this property since skiing "out" means you slide down an icy pig trail to a remote lift tucked in the middle of a bunch of condos and other properties. Boarders shouldn't even attempt it (take the Beaver Creek shuttle) and skiing "in" in the afternoon was just not worth all the pole-ing required. All in all--SKIP this place and stay elsewhere; Beaver Creek has many lovely properties which are truly ski in/out.

As managers of Creekside at Beaver Creek we were very disappointed to read the March 2006 review of our property. Our goal is complete satisfaction for all of our guests. Please read our following comments with regards to Creekside.

The guest posting the review made their reservation through a travel agent service and never spoke with anyone at Creekside, or apparently went online to view our virtual tour and posted information. This may have lead to the guest not receiving complete and accurate information about Creekside before their arrival. When making your reservations through a travel agent service, we recommend that you call the property directly to make sure you have correct information. More than 60% of our guests are returning guests. This return business is a clear indication that people are satisfied with their stay at Creekside. Most Creekside guests are enthusiastic skiers who have been on many ski vacations and they choose to return to Creekside year after year.

Creekside is ski in/out using one of the many skiways utilized in Beaver Creek. We recommend that a skier be above a beginner level to use the skiway. If you are a beginner skier or boarder you will most likely feel it is too difficult. The skier shuttle comes to the front door of Creekside every 10 minutes and drops skiers at the base of the main lift. We recommend that skiers of lesser ability use the shuttle. More than half of the hotels and condominiums in Beaver Creek use the skiways for their guests to access the ski mountain.

All of the condominiums at Creekside are “Gold” rated by the Vail Valley Tourism and Convention Bureau. This objective rating is performed every year by an independent inspector. Creekside policy is that all of our condos must be rated “Gold” for their eligibility in our rental program. Our rating as a “Gold” property puts us near the top of all Beaver Creek properties.

The front desk of Creekside is open daily from 8am to 5pm. A manager is always on call for any after hour’s requests. We offer full concierge services. Creekside does not have bellman but our staff will always help a guest that requires luggage assistance. We feel that our onsite check in, our knowledgeable staff, and our willingness to help exceeds our guest expectations.

The design of the Creekside building is a little confusing, as are most of the buildings in Beaver Creek that are built on the side of a mountain. Most of our guests pay attention to our hallway signs, and to where they are going, and figure things out very quickly. Some of our guests do not pay attention to our hallway signs and stay “lost” for some of their stay!
