We have enjoyed staying here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the view out the front was scenic. We also had free web access. The staff is attentive and friendly. Its my pick for a stop from northern CA on the way out to the deserts in Joshua Tree.

I stayed for one night at this hotel, just to break the long drive from Vegas to Yosemite. I wasn't expecting much of Tehachapi, the only info I'd found on it mentioned the 'Tehachapi loop' on its railway line, a large windfarm and a local prison!
However, Tehachapi had a nice atmosphere to it, and a few places to eat and shops (big K-Mart near the hotel, etc.) The surrounding countryside is quite mountainous and pretty.
The hotel exceeded expectations, as it was very modestly priced. The rooms were clean and pleasant. There was a nice outdoor pool area and small gym. Free internet access on a PC in the lobby to check emails. A basic but okay complimentary breakfast included in the price.
If I was ever in Tehachapi again I'd definitely stay here.

We were traveling through Tehachapi on our way to Las Vegas from San Francisco. The front desk person was very nice and helpful.
We needed an accessible room and had the choice of a room with a king bed with a tub/shower, or a room with 2 queens and a roll in shower. We took the king, and could use the tub because it had bars. There was no seat or transfer bar, and the showerhead was fixed, and would be unreachable from a seated position. The toilet had no lid. There was lotion, shampoo and a shower cap. Towels were reasonably thick.
The bedroom was large, had a desk with a chair, an overstuffed chair with an ottoman, a king bed, and two nighttables. There was a microwave and a small refrigerator. It had an armoire with a television that received a good variety of cable or satellite channels. Our window looked out onto a dirt lot in the back of the hotel. The bed was as hard as a ROCK!!! It was very uncomfortable. The walls were thin, and it sounded as if people were jumping on the ceiling all night long, plus the next door neighbors were also noisy.
The continental breakfast had bagels, english muffins, make your own waffles, yogurt, and coffee. There might have been some fruit, I'm not sure. There was some cereal.
I felt that the price was a bit high at $129.

I found my stay at the Best Western Country Park Hotel very satisfying. The hotel has a peaceful lobby and very popular, very satisfying continental breakfast. The rooms are spacious, and the large window lets in a pleasant breeze on a warm day. The premises are very clean, and the front desk staff was helpful. The adjacent Mountain Crossing restaurant was a great spot to grab a tasty, inexpensive dinner, and the train theme is a nice touch. Railroad tracks are located across the street, but the trains are not disturbing. I like that there is no freeway hum to be heard, even though the freeway is not too far away. The only peculiar thing about this place is the massive bathroom door... Not sure why it's like that! The adjacent Best Western Mountain Inn looked like a dumpy old motel in comparison to this new hotel. I'm glad I spent the extra $15! I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of an overnight stay in the Bakersfield-Mojave area.
