The hotel Staff is excellent. I stay at this hotel frequently for weeks at a time and I am well cared for. WIFI needs to be improved however. It has been usually acceptable, but a few times I have been unable to stay connected. The location is great for restaurants, shopping.

Spent 1 night at this hotel after a long drive from Long Beach, it's in the middle of a shopping center, difficult to find if you don't spot the small sign from the road but we worked it out as we'd seen it from the freeway.
We were given a really nice room, loads of space for 4 of us, nice bathroom but door difficult to close without waking everyone else up! Lovely view of the vine yards from our window and the room was really quiet.
Lovely evening reception, we got there just in time and happily stayed for the 2 hours with free drinks and snacks!
We didn't really explore the area as this was just an overnight stop on way from Long Beach to San Francisco but it looked nice and we would explore further if we went again.
We walked down to Applebee's for dinner - it was fine, not anything special but good value.
Breakfast good the next morning - a bit frantic as there was a bus of teenage football players in there but it was ok.
Overall it was fine, only really used the hotel for sleep, drinks and food but it served it's purpose nicely, we would go back.

We were passing through San Luis Obispo and happened to choose Embassy Suites for the night. What a great choice. It was a bit hard to find as it is listed on Madonna Road but is actually on a side street. If you get off 101 on Madonna Rd and reach the post office on Madonna Rd. you have gone too far. The hotel was definitely worth the search. The Atrium was bright and airy! The rooms were great, everyone was so nice, and the breakfast was cooked to order, wow. We enjoyed the quiet and the beds were comfortable. We will stay there again I'm sure.

We had difficulty locating this hotel. It is only 4 stories high and tucked into the back of a large shopping center. Signage is TINY and poor. Had to call for directions. Our room was fine, especially since it was around the corner from those over-looking the atrium. We had a nice view across the valley and just a tad of highway noise. Bedding was very comfortable. Management sent up a nice bottle of champagne since it was our 39th anniversary. Furniture and decor seemed dark and a bit dated. The carpeting in the atrium was an awful color and pattern. Breakfast was the typical Embassy menu. Tables could have been bussed quicker and on Sunday the rush at around 9:00 was over-whelming. Other staff members did come lend a hand clearing the dishes. I had to eat at the bar upon an uncomfortable stool. All staff members were alert, friendly, and helpful.

We had a good night sleep but besides that this hotel has nothing going for it. The hotel is old and dark. The atrium where the restaurant, and breakfast/happy hour are given looks even older and doesn't look very clean either. Overall I was not that pleased with the hotel.

Room tip: Try to get a room upstairs!
