This place definitely could use some finer details taken care of, but the service was great... Stephanie was manning the night desk when we checked in, she personally showed us to our room. We requested extra towels and ashtray, and she cheerfully returned with our requests shortly. We also requested not to be bothered with maid service while we were there, as we were only staying 2 nights and didn't see the need to change sheets or anything for the second day as we had plenty of towels, etc., and we were there basically for an operation for my wife at Loma Linda Hospital, ...and didn't want to be bothered with maid service. Stephanie said no problem and wrote instructions at the office to not bother us with maid service, which was nice. Stephanie also directed us to a great restaurant a short drive away, The Elephant Bar.
The room itself had some issues, which prevents me from giving an above average rating, but the great service from Stephanie prevents me from giving a below average rating based just on the room issues. The TV cable was missing the connector that screws on the back of the TV, it was just the bare copper wire shoved in the hole without the connector to keep it in place... so that was a pain trying to keep the signal. The toilet seat took herculean strength to raise or lower, plus had to hold the flusher down until flushed, then pull up handle to stop. Wife couldn't open or close drapes, and it was hard even for me. Sink handle was mighty stiff to operate, too. If it wasn't for these issues, I'd definitely would have to rate this Inn above average... although relatively minor issues, they really shouldn't exist since all would be easy to correct.
The bed was a plus, very comfortable, reminded me of home! Much more comfortable than the bed next door at Best Western where we stayed just a few weeks ago. IMO, if ya gotta good bed and good service... how bad can it be? (lol)
When I checked out, I noted the issues at the front desk... and the woman checking us out immediately wrote them all down and was actually thankful for reporting the needed corrections. In fact, she said we should have called... to have them corrected while we were there. But she understood that with everything else going on with the hospital, that by the time we noted the TV issue we were already in that comfy bed and just didn't want to hassle with getting presentable again to deal with it then.
We will be returning here when my wife is scheduled for her follow up appointment at Loma Linda.
