“Great location but very dated property. Dangerous electrical wiring”

This hotel is ideally situated for a short stay - giant mall right across the street. The room was very dark and the light switch in the bathroom was dangerous (gave a shock when used). The furnishings were dated however the room was generously proportioned. Disappointing to have to pay for wired internet access in the room. Sound proofing not great - could clearly hear a man and woman arguing in the parking lot in the middle of the night and noise from an upstairs bathroom in the morning (we were on the second floor).

“Great hotel in a convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Staff were welcoming and helpful at this very large hotel, which offered great value for money by booking through a third party. The room was huge, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had to pay for wifi, butit wasn't too expensive and although there was a charge for parking listed on the hotel website, when we checked out, there was no charge made. The hotel is very close to a huge shopping mall (you could walk there easily) and there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance too. We went to the Elephant Bar and had a fantastic meal - it is right next door and the food is fabulous.

The hotel is conveniently located close to interstates, but the only problem we had was finding it - the street address does not appear on local maps, so make sure you download the hotel's instructions for finding them from their website!

We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

“Not bad at all!”

I don't really understand why this hotel got such bad and mediocre reviews. We enjoyed our stay there. The room was large and quiet, the tv modern and quite large, we had a free upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds (rather than one) and the beds were comfortable. The room was kept very clean and supplies were replenished daily by the maids. We got a very good deal on Priceline negotiator. The only things I didn't like were that the internet is not free (and is wired) in the rooms, and the $6/day parking fee. There really is no way around the parking fee unless you want to walk at least 1/4 mile to your car (if you somehow parked on the street). But then again, the parking gates do sort of make the place feel more secure. If you don't mind paying extra for parking, this hotel is just fine.

Room Tip: if you want to try to park outside the hotel lot, consider getting a room in a building near the sid...

“Great Service, we'll be back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

The priority was a safe and comfortable place to stay while attending a family reunion. We booked this hotel at a bargain price and expected that everything would reflect our inexpensive deal. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were ours at check-in and the Crabtree & Evelyn amenities were ready in our room. Guest services sent 2 extra blankets when I had requested one, the housekeeper was cheerful and considerate, and gave us extra towels and creamers for our coffee. We had expected to pay additional parking fees over our 3 day stay, but were not charged. The bed was wonderful, rooms were quiet, large screen TV and feather pillows.
The restaurant servers and bartender were everything we could have asked and more. The pool was lovely and refreshing.
The hotel is across the street from the Arden Faire Mall and near Highway 80, and perfect for finding everything one could want.

“Great hotel with friendly service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, attending a wedding being held there on the 4th night of our stay. We were greeted with friendly staff at check-in who not only were quick to get us into our 3 rooms (2 rooms were adjoining), but also offered us warm cookies as a welcome treat. Their restaurant food and room service food were great and so was their expresso bar (excellent!). Their room cleaning staff were pleasant and delivered extra supplies hassel-free whenever we needed them. Our rooms were large and clean, with balconies overlooking the parking lot (we didn't mind seeing our cars). Noise was not a problem at all during our stay. The outdoor pool was great, the fitness room was great, the garden was very pretty, and the wedding ceremony in their garden/patio & reception for 450 guests in their grand ballroom both looked fabulous. The only complaints I had was that you had to pay $6/day parking fee and the continental breakfast was not complimentary, $13/person (plus taxes, of course). They offered us a "deal" of $20/person/day for parking + breakfast + wifi, but it wasn't worth it for our group. If we didn't want to pay the extra $6/day for parking, we could risk parking on the street, or at the shopping mall across the street, or in the other lots of restaurants/offices adjacent to the hotel, but we could get a ticket. Being from Canada, it wasn't worth the risk/hassel. Also, this is a big hotel, so be prepared to walk a long way to get to your rooms. But overall, it was a pleasant stay and worth the money we paid, granted we got the special wedding party group rate for all 5 nights. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again myself.
