The Hyatt's location across from the State Capitol (whose grounds provide a welcome respite on a sunny afternoon) is fabulous. The lobby was recently renovated - it's a bright & airy space. The breakfast buffet in Vines Cafe (lobby level) was very good and surprisingly not that expensive compared to many hotel restaurants. Although not advertised on the menu, you can get a "continental" buffet at a reduced rate. Dinner at Dawson's (also on the lobby level) was excellent and our server made the evening even more enjoyable. Only one misgiving about Dawson's - the noisy bar next to the dining room takes away from the atmosphere of the restaurant. My husband and I had to shout over the voices of a high school reunion group. One other beef - the hotel doesn't have a computer terminal available to guests at no charge. There is a business centre - with a minimum $7.50 charge for 15 minutes of computer time. When I travel for leisure, I don't pack my laptop. Obviously, this hotel caters to business travelers.
