The architecture of the Mission Inn is breathtaking, truth many places and rooms to explore. I stayed for business and loved that I could park the car and walk everywhere in the evening and morning.

I had a lovely but noisy courtyard room on the first night. After requesting a quieter room, I was given a slightly less noisy room with a balcony and windows on two sides. I'm not sure any of the rooms are quiet.

There is no wireless internet in the rooms, only in the lobby. There is free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The fitness center equipment isn't the greatest but there is a studio room for yoga and the pool is nice but does not have lanes.

Check out Simple Simons Bakery and Phood on Main.

I was expecting a LOT and the Mission Inn surpassed my expectations. Besides being an architectural masterpiece, it is bursting with romance, great restaurant selections, wonderful location, the rooms are charming, and the beds feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. We were well cared for, the staff was extremely courteous, and I would go there again and again and again. Even though we went on Halloween weekend and the place was packed, there was still a feeling of personal attention and professionalism at all times. I give this place an A ++

Room tip: The roof top rooms are top notch and you have a sense having the place to yourself.

We only stayed one night, but there was parties going on until 3AM. People were running through the halls, laughing. The walls were paper thin. We were put on the first floor next to the "grand staircase". Everything from the lobby came up the corridor. There was a problem with the toilet and it kept draining and filling all nigh and would shut off with a loud thug! Couldn't get the A/C adjusted properly- either too cold ot too hot. To top it off we ate at the Bella Restaurant on site and my wife got VERY sick that night . Will not EVER stay here again.

Room tip: If you REALLY want to stay here absolutely insist that you are not on the first floor

Stayed here for my sister's wedding (what a wedding factory this place is, btw) for 5 nights. The weekends were insanely busy around the hotel & in the restaurants within walking distance. My main complaint is that the rooms are just not as easy to stay in as I would expect for the price. There are very few outlets, in your room you have to plug in for internet & it costs $11 per day (wireless is free in the lobby), & the light switch for the bathroom was outside the door & around the corner (doesn't sound terrible but it was). The place is very cool- it just feels like a place that was retrofitted rather than the luxury hotel they want to be.
