Management was wonderful. room was very clean & spacious. Great deal for the money. I would stay here again .
Clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Swimming was nice, but too cold. Fast internet connection. Very small "free" breakfast selection, but there is Denny's and Shari's next door.
This is the worse of the worse when it comes to hotel experiences. It was very late and after we checked in we went to the room. There was a brown ring around the toilet, no toilet paper holder, and the towels, sheets were old and not white. The bed was the cheapest kind of bed you could have. The microwave was from the 1970's. Breakfast was 2 or 3 rolls, weak coffee and juice. The family that runs this is trying to do the least amount, and save money. When I told the lady the next day about it she denied everything. Super 8 are normally a great experience, This wasa very very bad place. DON'T STAY HERE.
We stayed here for years every Memorial Day weekend. We learned it was OK if you stayed in the east building. The west building is old, run down, smelly so we wuit staying there.
Then they got new owners.
We reserved a room 5 months in advance of the weekend. Gave them our credit card number. Called two weeks in advance to verify all was OK.
When we showed up at 8PM, they had given away our room.
They said they tried to contact us that day, but since we did not answer, they gave away our room. So apparently, guaranteeing a room with a credit card is not sufficient? We had our cell phone on all day while traveling and it never said we missed a call. Since we reserved 5 months in advance, our rate was supposed to be much lower than the rates they were offering - strange how they gave away a room when they could get more revenue from it.
Now we stay at the Hampton Inn in Red bluff. Its newer, in a better location, and right next to a great restaurant. All those years of faithfully going to the Super 8 in Red Bluff are behind us...
Female was not too friendly when we checked in - I had asked for a fan to be put in room but was told they didn t have any. Room was ok apart from grotty thin stained towels. A/C was very good after it had been on a while - microwave & fridge.
Breakfast was dire! Baskets for the fruit had no fruit but dishes for cereal in them. Nothing to toast - only prepacked pastry items - choice of 2. Cereal and tea or coffee. Orange juice. Not what we have come to expect from Super 8!
Motel is off the main road and quiet. Near to restaurants and town. Really wouldn t return due to not too friendly attitude towels & not good breakfast..
