“Fun, romantic, great spot with attentive service and delicious breakfasts!”

We spent two wonderful nights at Wild Coyote and will be going back. If you want something unique and different from the traditional English cottage B & B experience, look no further. The attention to detail in the Southwestern style is incredible, and no part of the environment is ignored. The grounds and views are exceptional, and the large room with very comfortable bed and small refrig and microwave was most useful. Our host, Sean, took great care of us, from serving wine to checking us in and out and cooking exceptionally delicious breakfasts. Very peaceful and delightful and within easy driving distance to all east and west Paso wineries. Many great birds, but didn't see a coyote!

“Paso Experience”

As our 5th trip to Wild Coyote, it continues to be a great base of operations on the central coast. The rooms continue to be well prepared and maintained, the Southwestern motif very pleasant, and Sean (new from our previous trips) is a great host. The meals were very nice though be prepared to wait a little if there are more than 2 in your party. We suspect their kitchen area is small, allowing them to prepare only 2 at a time. However, assuming you enjoy the company you are traveling with, this is a good time to plan your day.

Upon arrival your room is waiting for you with soothing New Age music playing on the entertainment system in your room, quite fitting for the New Age atmosphere they evoke with adobe, vigas and luminaria.

The wines at Wild Coyote continue to mature and the current crop is the best we've had. Wild Coyote is highly recommended for the more discriminating traveler willling to pay a little more for a great experience, quiet ambiance, and an out-of-the-way location that is actually quite close to one of the best wine areas in the US. Heck, they even throw in a bottle of wine in each room.

Room Tip: All rooms are essentially the same.

“Incredible rooms in an incredible setting - You deserve this get-away!!”

I just returned from my second stay at the Wild Coyote B&B where I introduced more friends to this hidden treasure (and they loved it). The rooms are perched on a hillside in the beautiful wine country of Paso Robles, near the winery's tasting room. Each room features a beautiful southwestern decor and adobe style and includes a bottle of Gianni's wine and chocolates to welcome you on check-in. A wonderful gourmet breakfast is hand delivered to your room each morning.

From your gorgeous room, the views from your patio are really going to take your breath away. Whether its viewing the vineyards in the morning light, or watching them as the sun goes down and the stars fill the sky above your patio - you are going to feel that you are truly someplace special.

Gianni and Kati and Sean are wonderful hosts and the perfect compliment to this magical setting. Treat yourself to this amazing get away!

Room Tip: Its a small B&B - as far as I can tell all rooms are wonderful.

“Winter is a different world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We have previously visited this property only during the summer. My wife had said for some time she would like to go back in winter (such as it exists in this part of the world) to enjoy the fireplace in the room. We were not disappointed with how on the one hand things were the same, on the other hand it was a different world.

We booked our room at the B&B only a few weeks before the end of the year. Fortunately for us we could still get in for New Years. Gone was the lush green landscape that filled the vineyards. Gone were the leaves on the walnut trees across the canyon. Gone was the canopy of grape leaves above the patio. Gone were the breakfast beside the fountain in the courtyard as 30 degree mornings had us seeking the warmth of the fireplace in the room.

What we had in its place was a serenely quiet winterscape of nuded vines and leafless trees. It seemed quieter without the hustle and bustle of wildlife with few, if any, hummingbirds jabbering outside our patio door. Even the nights seemed quieter because other guests didn't congregate at the fire pit or the jacuzzi given the colder temperatures.

Where the thick adobe walls created a cool environment in summer, they now provided insulation against the cold in winter. Where the fireplace was a cute aesthetic in summer, it was a necessary implement in winter. To my wife's delight, the fireplace would turn off and on intermittently throughout the night keeping the room at a constant 70 degrees which was set on the room thermostat. My wife's comments were something about cozy & romantic.

Unlike past visits when we would meet our neighbors, there was none of that this time. The B&B was full but everyone seemed to keep to themselves for this New Years weekend. Okay, except for a new greeter in Onyx, the Manx cat. We were told in advance that he might be a nuisance, trying to sneak in your room when your patio or front door was left open. They were right.

What remained the same was the hospitality of Sean in the tasting room, Gianni when discussing the future wine club member dinner in April, and Kati with her sumptuous breakfasts. Part of the beauty of coming to Wild Coyote is knowing that the team members remain the same. Only the presence of winter made it a different world.

“Good wine, food, and hosts.............”

We have stayed here several times and will continue to. Gianni makes some great wine and gave us a very informative wine tour last time we were there. Kati always makes us an amazing breakfast in the morning . Of Course Shawn always makes us laugh as he pours us wine in the tasting room and describes which dish (in detail), the wine should go with. Great place!
