I was very disappointed by this hotel. It was old, dated,oddly shaped, and small. I called the front desk repeatedly and there was never an answer. I asked the maid for an extra blanket and it appeared 2 days later. The two good things about the hotel was the attached parking and the adjacent restaurant. The neighborhood is trying to gentrify. Jack London Square is lovely, but there are homeless people and hookers wandering the area. I was very disappointed to say the least.

The hotel is close to Jack London Square and the ferry and restaurants. The secured parking is a plus since the neightborhood is a little troubling. The wifi is not available in the rooms. The rooms were clean enough and the bathroom was small but usable. The pool area is nice. We were there on a friday night and it was very noisy with people coming and going. I would not recommend this hotel for a woman travelling alone.

I wanted to stay away from SF but with easy access to the Bart to go for business meetings during the day in SF city. The Inn at Jack London Square is an excellent and comfortable location. The free and easy parking and full and speedy wifi are great bonuses. I also discovered the nice little gym on my last day. Rooms were clean, comfortable and everything worked as expected. Often better than in higher rated hotels.

Yes, you can hear some of train horns from time to time, but with the AC on, it is hardly noticeable and it really did not disturb me.

So, a good stay, 10 minutes walk from the BART and it was easy to stay an extra night at a similar rate while most hotel fuss over this or try to "skin" you with a higher rate.

Never stayed in Oakland before but this is two blocks from a very nice waterfront. Very comfy bed, nice toiletries, they even have room service with an adjoining restaurant (but it's an easy walk to it, too. It has a nice pool. Very nice staff, I'd definitely stay there again.
