Had a lovely stay en route to Mammoth lakes and Yosemite for one night. The owners were so nice and helpful and made us feel at home. They introduced us to some delicious local wine and the evening appetizers and breakfast were great. My husband and I are not big eaters at night so the vegetables, cheese and bread were enough for us, especially since the breakfast was huge! The best part of the stay was the beautiful view from the patio after dinner. It's expensive, but definitely worth it for a special occasion.

We stayed here for a recent weekend after reading the reviews and features in Sunset and other publications. Mike and MaryJo have created a truly special environment and their care and skill with food really makes the difference in creating a really special retreat. The setting is gorgeous, with nearly 360 degree views. Our room was equipped with every comfort and then some. Quiet, peaceful and gracious come to mind. Evening appetizers were really good, served with local wines. Breakfast was the best we've ever been served, with eggs from their own hens on the property and the best scones you will ever taste! Yes, it's a bit of a drive into Murphys, but if you are looking for a really special environment, fabulous food and wonderful hosts, you should really stay here at least once.

Try this B&B once in your life. We had fun with our gracious hosts. Enjoyed dining al -fresco for both dinner and breakfast taking in the stunning views. Hoping to return one day.

We could not have been more impressed with this fabulous B&B/ Small Inn. The MacFarlane's are the most amazing hosts from their gourmet breakfasts, to the rooms that offer truly complete privacy as well as every amenity that could be thought of for your comfort. The property is on a ridge top and offers a rare glimse into the local wildlife from the many window vistas. We will return and recommend this highly to any traveler. Next time we will take advantage of the intimate dinners that this gourment couple have available each night.
