We stayed here in a two-bedroom suite with family. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning was the best, with amazing variety! The only compliant we had, was that we were on the bottom floor and the room above us was extremely noisy late into the night! We called the front desk twice and they said they would do something about it. It got quiet for a while then started up again around 10:30 pm. Not pleasant.

As part of our three week California road trip we needed some spacious accommodation near Palo Alto as a base for visiting friends.

This Residence Inn Penthouse Suite proved perfect with lots of space for the kids (5 and 7) to spread out and a good sized and well appointed kitchen.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and everything went off without a hitch.

Breakfast was pretty good for what it was and, though we didn't partake, there were various casual eats and/or functions hosted by the manager during the week.

It's not exactly a picturesque location but a highly practical place to base yourself for a couple of days.

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Mountain View on my latets business trip. Now, one item to note here. There are several properties in the area and on El Camino Real - this property was at 1854 El Camino Real. I mention this because I went to the wrong property first (always good to check your details). Once I found it, the rest of the stay went like clockwork. I had a two bedroom suite and it was clean and ready when i arrived late the first night. I really appreciate a clean room and a living room setting to stretch out after a long day. The folks at the from desk were cheeful and greeted me with a smile. I had no issues during my stay. I only took advantage of the buffet one morning but, I was surprised that the food was ready a bit earlier than they advertise - so no stop at Starbucks for coffee and a muffin this time. During my stay I asked the staff to watch out for a Fed Ex that i was shipping to the hotel. They made a note at the hotel and when it did finally arrive (after my check out), they called me to ask whether they should accept the pacakage from the driver and hold it for me. This was a most pleasant surprise since I needed the package later that night. Just goes to show you that good old customer service is not dead (and I'm only a Silver Elite member). So, if you are in the area and looking for a good experience - check it out. I will come back!

This must be one of the best Res Inns I have been to in many years. The location is not far from the Shoreline Amphitheater and Stanford University. The rooms are like all Res Inns, comfortable and very functional with all the kitchen things you would need and an efficient wi-fi system, but what's best is the service in the dining area. We have never had better service and food in any suite type hotel! The breakfast buffet is always complete and the heating trays are never empty, even late in the breakfast shift. The staff never fails to impress me with their friendly and helpful attitude. I would come here even if I need to be elsewhere in the Palo Alto-San Jose area.
