We stayed one night here, updated older rooms and very small, bed is small, and very noisy air conditioner. At 7 am we were awoken by somebody turning on their water next door. Very noisy.
The breakfast was quite good.

We were really blown away by how great this place is - clean rooms, great value, reasonable prices, good location, breakfast included ...

Here are the highlights from our stay:
-Very clean rooms and bathroom (and I'm nit picky about that)
-Walking distance to good restaurants, 2 supermarkets, etc.
-Breakfast included in reasonable room rate-breads, hot waffles, cereals, yogurts, 2 kinds of eggs, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, etc.
-Large rooms

We liked it so much we cancelled an existing reservation at another larger, more upscale brand name hotel to stay here again before we leave the area! And, the hotel we're at now in Monterey is a disappointment (despite a much higher price tag) after we've been spoiled by the Millwood.

I stayed there while on a business trip to San Francisco. Millwood Inn is conveniently located from a commuting point of view and there are also good shopping/eating areas nearby. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, including helping out with an early check-in and late check out with the minimum of fuss. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable, and well maintained. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - while I booked here this time only because it was priced attractively as compared with hotels in San Francisco, it turned out to be excellent value-for-money, and it would surely be difficult to give Millwood Inn a miss whenever I am there next - be it for business or pleasure!

Although billed as a motel, the Millwood Inn is more like a hotel. We just spent two nights there, our second stay over the past two years. Now that we've found this gem, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, with super comfortable bedding and plenty of fluffy towels. A desk and work area is provided. The TV always works and non-smoking means just that. We stayed in Room 101 (right next to the laundry room and El Camino Real); the traffic noise did not bother me, despite being a hyper-sensitive sleeper.

We've never used the shuttle bus, but the motel is close to the airport and convenient to plenty of shopping, restaurants, and attractions (i.e. downtown San Francisco and Fisherman's Wharf).

The always delicious Millbrae Pancake House is a hop, skip and a jump from Millwood Inn, but you will not be disappointed by the complimentary breakfast…plenty of food and beverage for everyone. And, you can pick up a complimentary newspaper in the motel lobby. Plus, all of our dealings with the hotel personnel have been pleasant and personable.

Having grown up in the overpriced Bay Area, one of the best things going for this motel is the price! You really get a lot of bang for your buck, so go ahead, give the Millwood Inn a try…you will not be disappointed!
