My wife and son recently stayed for 3 night's here, whilst traveling in America.
The level of friendly and attentive service was exceptional.
All the staff just could'nt do enough and came across as very genuine.
Not the have a nice day because it is part or the script! but that they
wanted them to have a great day.

Good sized bed, clean room - what can you say really it is exactly what you would expect from a large chain of hotels. The only downfall was that the staff didn't seem to know about the Metro which is just round the corner and get's you into Hollywood in ten minutes and downtown LA in half an hour.

This is a throwback to bygone age in LA. Great location near Universal Studios and the Citywalk. Lots of great local restaurants and easy access to LA in general. The hotel is clean, well-taken care of, and the staff is the best in terms of being helpful, courteous, and willing to meet personal needs. Know that there are separate buildings for the rooms, but the garden areas make it a nice walk. While having the sliding door open allowed street noise in, with that door closed I did not notice much traffic sound at all in spite of the hotel's proximity to the freeway and busy local streets. You can't go wrong here for the price.

After almost one year we returned to the Beverly Garland Hotel (Holiday Inn) for eight nights. As we drove onto the hotel's brick paved parking area, we were greeted at the lobby entrance by two incredible flaming heat lamps, twinkle lights in the trees and a welcoming fire burning in the lobby fireplace. The front desk staff were as friendly and efficient as ever and greeted us by name. They knew which room we wanted and had it ready immediately. Tula's, the hotel restaurant ,has undergone a miraculous change in it's decor and menu. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. It was warm enough to sit outside on the patio for breakfast and late in the evening at the bar. The hotel has a courtyard with little cabanas and the same type of flaming heat lamps that greeted us upon arrival . When we stayed before, the laundry facilities were not great, but they have changed the location and added two additional washers and dryers with lots of natural light and close to the pool.One night it rained and there were guests still in the pool and jacuzzi enjoying the pool area which has a lovely fireplace to sit beside and get warm. Our room was clean and well stocked with fluffy towels and the bed is one of the most comfortable.Our room attendant creatively arranged all our bathroom "stuff" and kept everything orderly during our stay. We really felt taken care of. The Pay Per View movies were not working one night, but that was OK because we had our iPads and WiFi was free! We can't recommend this hotel highly enough...it's our second home!
