The location is great - right on the beach, up against the cliffs, sheltered by a grove of trees - but the surf was unbelievably rough. Our 7 yer old son almost got swept out, and it turns out theat 126 people have drowned here. If you forget about trying to hang out on this beach, it's a great location near lots of other calm beaches, hikes, wineries.
My question is: who decided to put a campground on the most dangerous beach on the Sonoma Coast?
