You are greeted with a survey piece that says "we have spent the last three years renovating the property and rooms..." We stayed in the Driftwood rooms - basically clean, but for the price, they really need help, and I don't think the renovations have quite made it to the Driftwood rooms. These rooms must be made of cardboard - you can hear everything! There is no air conditioning - so you might say, "open the windows" - well they're rght on the gravel parking lot and at hip height and are on the main walkway to the beach. And for the sound, there may as well not even be windows. The restaurant is closed, and they give you a 10% discount at a sister-property in Olema, which is about 5 miles away and really over-priced. Our lunch "special" with one beer, including tip and tax (and discount!) was $39! We're rating this "average" because the staff is friendly and helpful; the newer more expensive rooms do look quite nice, but we can't comment on the noise level; and if you're here to boat, fish or swim, you'll likely enjoy it. But we would never stay in the Driftwood rooms again. We had much nicer accomodations up the coast for the same price.
