“EXCELLENT STAFF, PET OWNERS REJOICE, HEAVENLY EXPERIENCE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2011

Yes the location is the next best thing to Kaui and instead of spending a day flying enjoy it here, it's like Heaven. The staff was more caring, attentive and accomadating than any I have experiened and I travel often. They felt like a warm loving family. The breakfasts are out of this world even taking into considerations dietary restrictions. When it's warm enough I encourage you to eat on your balcony but beware it is so mesmerizing you may not want to climb the stairs to the paradise below. With a warm breakfast in your tummy you are ready for adventure so have some fun and walk the stairs all the way down. HaHaHa they don't make stairs like that anymore. It's so worth it! The reward at the bottom is phenomanal let yourself surrender to the warm sand, heavenly beauty and you may even have it all to yourself. This is a beauty and peace that must be experienced to be fully enjoyed. I highly recommend that if you have the slightest chance to stay longer that you do. I started with 4 days and was blessed to stay 6. I encourage you to ask them on the phone for their best rate especially right now. Plan your vacation for this time of year and you have a much better chance of getting the BEST prices. About your four legged companions they too will love it here, and will also be treated like royalty. There are wonderful trees, soft soil and lots of sand to have a blast on. If a more relaxed pace is what you're after than you have found it. When I first arrived I was exhausted but with the mesmerizing ocean, warm sunshine and kindness of the staff I recovered quickly and soon my corgi and I were climbing the waterfall and chasing waves. Whale Watch Inn is calling your name. Hurry don't make yourself wait for paradise any longer!

“Comfortable room near the beach with nice view and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

We stayed two nights and enjoyed them both. We were there to celebrate the start of our romance 39 years ago. We enjoyed the fireplace in the room and beautiful view. We might have enjoyed it a little more when the weather was warmer but it was a nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delivered hot at the arranged time and was tasty. The steps to the beach looked pretty steep so we didn't even try but drove to a nearby beach to walk. The wireless connection was not accessible from our room but we were able to connect periodically in a common area.

“Beautiful property, absolute comfort and void of all stress.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

My wife and I have found this to be our favorite getaway. Next best thing to Maui for us, but more convenient. Expect to be treated with comfort and plan your stay around being secluded as if you were on a remote island and you will have the best time. If you are a picky breakfast eater let them know the day before what you prefer and they will usually be able to make it happen.

“Fireplaces, snuggles, beaches and starfish!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

We stayed here as part of a tour of the CA Coast on our honeymoon, and although we were much younger than the clientele seemed to be we really enjoyed out stay. Climbing the stairs down the cliff to the beach is thrilling, as is beachcombing and finding shells, driftwood, starfish, crabs, and anemones. We spent our days walking along the beach and then returning to our room to read in front of the fireplace and take in the gorgeous ocean views. My only suggestion would be better coffee! :-) The relaxation, luxury, and easy closeness to the sea really makes this place amazing!

What a fabulous find!! We wanted a quiet, peaceful place and that's exactly what we got! The staff was wonderful and gracious and we couldn't have asked for a nicer stay for our three nights there. We loved the long walks on the beach, after the thrill of the 100+ steps to get there. Breakfast was always delivered on time and was tasty. Having a fire every night and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was just paradise. Be aware that it is an older property so if you're expecting chain hotel standards, it isn't for you. If you're expecting a cozy B&B-type getaway and a friendly staff, then you'll love WWI!! I can't want until we can escape there again!!
