We stayed here as it was the cheapest option to visit Yosemite without a shared bathroom. We didn't realise it was a "resort" until we got there, so we were impressed with the indoor and outdoor pools and arcade area.
The room was very spacious and had a nice lodgey aged feel about it. The sink sits outside the bathroom which was actually quite nice as there was plenty of countertop space and a large mirror.
The only major letdown is the food. We heard other guests complaining about this too. Although the hotel emphasizes that the ownership of the restaurants are separate, it is a huge factor in the overall stay/experience as a decent meal would be almost impossible without a car.
Choose the restaurant over the grill. The grill served really oily burgers (the bun itself was oily) and the fries had been sitting for a while. The restaurant had a salad bar, mains were average tasting and it was very expensive. The hotel do have a store selling drinks, candy, ice cream, snacks, bread, cereals and canned food.
It is about an hour bus ride to the popular parts of Yosemite (visitor centre & Yosemite lodge) which is a bit of a pain (& not ideal for an early hike without a car), but at least the yart buses are nice and run every hour or two.
