We love this place! Hosts are great, lots of extra touches, amazing gourmet breakfast, private bathrooms, clean, pleasant, great location, superb in every way!

We've stayed at many B&B's across the country with many gracious hosts but Rick and Carole at the Grateful Bed were the most friendly, interesting, and accommodating hosts we've had. When we arrived before check-in time, Rick saw us on the porch and invited us in. Carole showed us the house and our rooms and offered us drinks. We sat and talked with them for over 2 hours, they were both interesting and interested in us. The rooms were well decorated (my mother had one and my husband and I shared another), the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms luxurious. The only slight downside was our room was on the street near a hospital and there were traffic sounds at night.
The house has lovely gardens, we at on the back porch after dinner and admired the restful setting. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

We visited Chico in November of 2009 to have a small marriage ceremony and a mini honeymoon. Chico's Bidwell Park was a perfect location for the ceremony, and the Grateful Bed was an outstanding B&B! From the well adorned rooms, to the incredibly thoughtful breakfasts (each of our 4 meals featured heart shaped foods), we were delighted with every aspect of our stay. A million thanks to our wonderful hosts! We highly recommend the Grateful Bed to anyone looking for an exceptional B&B experience.

We are looking forward to our third stay at The Grateful Bed. Our past two experiences have been excellent. The achitecture of the inn, tasteful interior, spotless rooms, delicious breakfast, and the perfect hosts make for a wonderful stay.
