The hotel is situated around 25 mins drive from Paro town and offers majestic picturesque views of the Paro Valley. Beautiful property and rooms / central lobby have a nice Bhutanese decor. However, it lacks a bit in terms of amenities and food (more like a upscale 3 star hotel). The breakfast buffet was not covered properly and was surrounded by plenty of flies everyday. The hotel manager (from NZ) was bit arrogant and initially refused to acknowledge this problem.
The location was still a clincher and makes it a better choice over poorly cramped Uma Paro any day !!

This hotel is amazing. The rooms are absolutely clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. Their command of English is excellent. The main hotel building is absolutely beautiful with intricate carvings and painted woodwork.We stayed in a guest cottage away from the main hotel building and were completely satisfied. The bathroom was very clean, spacious and spa like. The view was beautiful and is was quiet! The beds are VERY comfortable.The management is knowledgeable and on top of everything.The food in the restaurant had something for everyone and was very good. This is a great place!

We were booked at this hotel for 2 nights. The location is a bit out of town. Upon entering the hotel lobby you are overwhelmed by the beautiful carved, colorful traditional woodwork, a testament to the creativity and talent of the Bhutanese people.
Service is wonderful, always with a smile. No where in Bhutan did we find unfriendliness or rudeness. This is a wonderful hospitable country and this hotels staff is a reflection of that culture.
The rooms are large with comfortable beds, sitting area, and heated floors which is wonderful when the nights get cold. The bathrooms are great, the only complaint I had here was that the tub is very hard to get in and out of. This is the only hotel in the world ( that I have been to, and believe me I have been to many) that had sanitary pads for their lady guests, how much more thoughtful and detail oriented can one get?
Some rooms have a view of the Tigers Nest, ours did, room #13.
Breakfast was included in our deal and it was great, a good selection and very tasty. Room service was excellent and food arrived hot.
An excellent hotel on the whole.
For those for whom wifi is important, the hotel has wifi all over it's property, sometimes it was hard to catch in our room, but perhaps that was more my iPads fault.
