Nice "resort"; rooms are clustered in several villas. Definitely not a 5* with the implied luxury, but the rooms were comfortable in size. Chairs and coffee table located in the room and patio chairs and table on the veranda. Unfortunately for us, there was no desk and chair. There was no TV in our room on the first night of our stay but there was one upon our return to the resort.
The decor in the room was wood panelling on cement and rock on the bathroom floor and walls. The original idea was executed reasonably well, although subsequent repairs look a bit haphazard. The beds were comfortable.
There was not enough water pressure or hot water to take adequate showers and the shower head was hand-held. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the bathroom window was left open (unscreened) and we ended up with almost 3 dozen flies. Fortunately, the bathroom door naturally swung close (and they were rather slow moving), so we could contain them in the bathroom. (They did seem a little more active after we took a shower!)
The grounds are mostly landscaped, with a large pond, which are pleasant to walk around. Some areas need to be touched up, as the grass is dead.
The food (breakfast and dinner) was quite tasty and a good variety. It was nice to have real juice (mango and orange), although, since it was canned, did have a bit of a tinny taste. Service for meals was efficient.
It is not located within the town of Paro itself; I suppose you could easily catch transportation into town if needed (and you didn't want to walk). About 15 minutes in the opposite direction a little village is springing up, so you can easily get supplies like snacks and drinks. It is pleasantly located next to a river.
