this inn was so serene and beautiful.... very zen... an all time favorite... loved it
It was so nice to be greeted with warm hand towels after a long day of traveling, and then to be given tea and crackers. The rooms are large and the bathrooms very nice, although I could not get the warm water to work in the walk-in shower. It was very cold in Paro, and I was provided with a heater in the room to try to make it more comfortable. The food, both at dinner and breakfast, was very good and quite varied.
This place is not within walking distance from Paro city, but that means it is quiet. Dogs rule in Bhutan and they bark all night long, so getting away from the barking dogs is important. The staff was very helpful, the rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are amazing. Food was great too. Considering that you are in a country with limited resources, this place is amazing.
Spent three nights there at the end of our nine glorious nights in Bhutan. Greeted at the door with warm scented towels(like Aman Kora) and were escorted into the tea room for tea and snacks. Very nice after a long drive from Phobjikha Valley. We were then escorted to our room which was lovely...complete with a heated bathroom floor! Beautiful view over the rice fields and drying chillies of our next door neighbor's roof. Clean and comfy. The dinner was good with many choices served family style. Breakfasts were equally tasty. Staff was always eager to please. Laundry service came in handy before we headed to India for 36 hours with 20 hours of travel after that. Prices:double-Nu 8,000; single -Nu 7,000 and this includes breakfast. Dinner was Nu 495. Laundry costs :shirt Nu100, pants Nu 180
This place is incredible. On arriving u come to a dusty road and a gate, your luggage gets take by the staff and u have a nice daunder up a little path, surrounded by fields. On arrival the staff are there to greet you, they offer you tea and snacks in the front lounge which is lovely. Then up to our rooms which had everything i could want in a hotel....under floor heating in the bathroom (great for drying those wee bits of washing u do!), pop up sockets, cosy beds with big martresses.
As for the food....yum! Its the best we tasted in Bhutan and we stayed there for a night on arrival and a night before our departure, and everyone in our group was excited to get back to the village lodge for the hospitality and the food, especially the bread pudding! Yum, if only i could have it all day long i would be a happy girl!
So, in short, if your going to Paro (which i reccomend), then stay here as u wont regret it. I cant wait to go back some day to enjoy it again.
