“Clean, comfortable, average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

As in other places of Asia, it has "resort" in its name. It is an average hotel, with clean, big rooms. I stayed in December 28, last night in Bhutan. The rooms are comfortable my room C101 (cottage) had two heaters. As it was not high season, we were only 6 guest there, the menu is simple for breakfast and dinner. The bathroom was big, clean and has hot water in the shower.
Do not expect a "resort" property.

“It is a good hotel - home like if you are not too fussy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

I stayed in the hotel as there was conference arranged at the same venue.
Yes, as mentioned by most of the people, the room s a little smelly. The reason being humidity captured by the carpets which do not dry as the rooms are closed.
I instructed to hotel staff to keep the windows open for 2 hrs during the day .

The resort is a bit far away from the town. So you need to inform the hotel about you food preferences well ahead.

You may not find beverages of your choice. Please carry some of your choice. Liquor is extremely cheap in Bhutan.

Good to stay there with a group. If you are a couple, you would definitely get bored there.
And yes, do have momos during your stay there.

“Big Room, but bit smelly”

We stayed here on the last night of our Bhutan trip.
Pretty much what everyone has said, the room is big, but it has this funny smell, we tried to leave the window open, but it gets really cold at night.

“Stinks of Sewerage”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2010

We stayed here on the first night and last two nights of our 7-day Bhutan trip.

The bedroom is very large with two queen size beds.

There is a small TV which is too small really, for the size of the room and the reception is not great.

Worst of all, all the rooms stink of sewerage. However, I do have a sensitive nose, and a couple of my friends don't find it too disturbing but I just couldn't sleep as I felt that everytime I breath, I'm breathing in bacterial infected air!

The wall heater is not sufficient and my friend only found out of the additional small heater in the cupboard on the last day as we were checking out! With just the wall heater, it is rather freezing.

There was also some bugs in the room and the carpet in most rooms are stained.

The food was quite nice.

This is more of a 2* hotel than the advertised 3* but then again, this is Bhutan.

“No frills, but adequate”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2009

I stayed here while doing a 9-day Bhutan trek. The resort is somewhat high up in the Paro hills, off of a VERY rough (nearly impassable) road. The hotel is small and quaint; more of a lodge than anything else. The bedrooms were quite big. The bathroom was also fairly large, though poorly lit, so it felt a little dank. The main building had a computer with internet access. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you're in Paro, but don't want to stay in city, I'd recommend this place.
