A definite hidden gem! Good location, helpful staff, modern clean rooms with good facilities. The free buffet breakfast was basic but had everything you’d need. Free wifi was a good bonus, there’s also a pc in the lobby for those who need it. There’s a little bird in a cage at reception but I didn’t hear it make any noise at night. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, very thoroughly; I had fresh clean fluffy towels per day, unusual in a budget hotel. The location was ideal for me, opposite the famous Beverly Hills sign, there’s a bus stop right outside too. I used the Star Line hop on hop off buses to get around, they stop at the opposite end of Doheny Drive, about a 10 minute walk away, so really handy. Also just a 5 minute walk away is a Ralph’s grocery store with everything you might need. The area is safe, I didn’t feel worried at all walking around alone in the evening (can’t say the same for the rest of LA!). The little pool area was lovely, I never saw anyone use the pool though, but I wasn’t about much during the day. The only negative is it’s on a busy road and the traffic noise is really bad, I’m not a light sleeper by any means but I had to use ear plugs to get a good night sleep. All in all a great hotel, but take ear plugs!!

The "guests" (are they really guests or hotel employees?) who are calling this place a hidden gem, and giving ratings of 4* or 5*stars, have an extremely low standard. It has the exterior look of a Travelodge and you will find more modern rooms at a Motel 6. Location and value do not a 5*star hotel make. Peninsula Hotels are 5*stars. But Beverly Terrace - are you joking?

I've been at B.T. twice and I really like the place. Latest stay was this summer for a week. It feels more human, than my overall impression of other LA places, where it seems to be more of a scene. This is more on the laid-back, comfortable note.
To be completely honest the rooms are pretty small (especially the size of the rooms compared to the size of the bed!). Not much space to move around on, and almost can feel a little too tight. But I do think it's very fine for the price.
The only two minusses were: the door to the bathroom/toilet couldn't close. And construction at the pool side was the other issue. In morning you'd wake up from the loud drilling. I guess they have to keep things up to date, but it would have been nice to have been informed about that at check-in, since we had a pool side room.
The breakfast is not at all gourmet but tasty enough and it has fresh fruit and choices for all the basics you need and the complimentary coffee/tea throughout the day is perfect!
So is the patio, which is really comfy and cute. The ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day, or just to sit around and read a book in the shade.
The staff is very friendly and hospitable and the restaurant next door serves absolutely tastytasty italian. The bird next to the counter is the cutest creature and this place is really a nice choice in my opinion.

I would recommend this place to anyone needing a nice, relaxing, not overpriced place to stay in LA.

This is a really good address in Beverly Hills.
We stayed here for one night before leaving LA and it's a nice small boutique hotel, a real gem, an really affordable.
Rooms are nicely decorated, each in their own style, and all around the small pool, where also breakfast is served.
The room itself is normal size, has tv, iron and board, clean bathroom.
The hotel offers free internet access both on a public PC in the lobby or WIFI on you own laptop computer.

Breakfast is limited in choice, but included in the rate.
Car parking has to be paid since recently, but they offered it for free as we booked prior to the change.
Very nice and helpfull staff.

Definitely an address to remember and something I can really recommend.
I'm normally really picky, but I like this one!

I stayed at the Beverly Terrace for one night before my flight back to Australia. I loved it so much, I wish I had more time!

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were plush given the 2 star rating. The bed was the most comfortable of my entire North American trip! Wifi was reliable and free. The pool area was an excellent place to relax. When my evening flight was delayed by several hours and I needed a place to put my feet up and rest, the staff were happy for me to hang out there despite having checked out much earlier in the day.

My only criticism would be the lack of storage space for luggage when checking out and returning to pick it up. I know that most tourists have rental cars but we had large bags that didn't fit in the trunk of the convertible the rental car company convinced us to get. A small thing that absolutely would not deter me from staying there again.

I can't wait to stay here again on my next trip to Los Angeles!
