I recently spent a night here during non-skiing season. The room was adequate although the pillows were flat and the lighting was sparse in the room. The food was so-so. You have to park in a large lot across the street. The entry doors need to be automatic and not the standard swing doors in order to get luggage in and out of the lodge. This place does have lots of character and is the only hotel/lodge around for miles.
I had to go to the restaurant at the end of the Village Shops to get my room key from the bartender. There is no signage in the lobby to direct folks to the restaurant when reception is closed.
