Rustic, charming hotel with a wonderful room having windows that open to fresh mountain air and a babbling brook below. Good food in the Pizza shop, including delightful churro sundae. Very good breakfast selection including their own homemade rolls and nut bread. Had much longer review written, but can't seem to get it sent.

If you like pristine mountain air and the aroma of a pine forest, this is the place for you. If you like high altitude accommodations, this is the highest you are likely to find; almost three thousand feet higher than Tahoe and Yosemite Valley. If you like the feel of wooden buildings and windows that open so that you can hear the stream tumbling by a stone's throw away, this is the place for you. If you appreciate a dreamer's dreams and the fulfillment thereof, this is the place for you. If historic events still stir your heart and they are recorded in a hundred years of photographs around the walls, this is the place for you. If you can imagine a vast lobby four stories high furnished with comfortable couches and chairs and a massive stone fireplace commanding attention at one end, this is the place for you. If you like peace and quiet, you will like a summer night here. If you like to swim in an uncrowded clean pool, here is one.

If you like personal attention from the waiter/cook/local historian, here is one. His homemade cinnamon rolls and nut bread along with a large assortment of other choices in their continental breakfast will suit your taste.

This is not the Hilton. Nor does it purport to be. No valet parking here, nor is it needed. The parking is close by and is free.

This lodge and its alpine amenities are in a class of their own and offer an experience that is priceless.

This hotel is conveniently close to the mountain (5 minutes). But, the rooms were very basic. The whole time while we were in the room we could here other people in their rooms on either side of us. We wanted to get up early, (for skiing) and eat some breakfast, but it didn’t open untill 7am. On the upside, there is a nice big lobby. It is full with boardgames, couches, a big fireplace, and free wifi. The bottom line is, it is very old, but comfortable after a long tiring day of skiing.

The shuttle was a wonderful and fun experience to slopes
Highly recommend only con some parents let there kids run around but that was not the staff fault it was Slack Parental Problem..
