Clean, comfortable, up-to-date motel. Convenient to the I-10 freeway, lots of restaurants etc. nearby. The room was in the wing that didn't face I-10, so it was quiet. In the past I've stayed in rooms facing the freeway and there was a good bit of traffic noise. The room was clean and bright. The high-speed internet connection was only working intermittantly, but that might just be technical difficulties that day. Banning seems to be a real friendly little town, pleasant to stay there. Hard to believe it's so close to L.A.

I stayed at the Travelodge in Banning (owned by the same management), and my reservation - unbeknownst to me - was transferred to this Super 8. So I was charged once for the Travelodge, and once for the Super 8 - which I had never stayed at in my life. I then talked to Super 8 management after seeing the charge on my credit card and was treated in an appalling manner. I was yelled at and basically called a liar even though I have never set foot in a Super 8 in my life and they had just charged me almost $90 on my credit card for a reservation I never had. Dispicable.

Wow, Super 8 has sunk to new lows. Don't think I'll stay at one again.

Let's see... right by a busy freeway and train tracks, dirty hallways, first room we were offered stank of urine but the second one wasn't so bad. Many TV channels were too fuzzy to watch, walls were paper-thin, bathroom fittings quite literally falling off in your hands.

I've attached a pic of the absolutely filthy mattress which of course we noticed only after sleeping on it.

Only a bulldozer could help this place out.

I stayed at the Super 8 in Banning Dec. 30 and 31 of 2005. I was a bit concerned about staying there as a woman travelling alone on a holiday weekend, but my stay was fine. The hallways are interior and you need a cardkey to get in at night, so that was a plus.

The motel is on a frontage road next to a busy freeway and near the railroad tracks, so there will be noise if you open a window.

Both desk clerks I dealt with were polite. The motel is well used but my room was clean. A few minor maintenance issues--a few ants in the bathroom and the bathroom fan is noisy. Bedding and towels are ordinary motel quality. My room had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. TV with plenty of channels. Bagels and sweet rolls for continental breakfast. Juice machine out of order. Plenty of eating places nearby.

This is mainly a place for people needing a night's sleep convenient to the freeway, or like me, a place convenient to Morongo Casino that's not too expensive. I stayed two nights at Super 8 for about half of what 1 night would cost at the casino hotel.
