Amazing place with beautiful grounds, lovely staff and a great Pisco sour. We stayed as a group of single women traveling alone and felt completely safe and well looked out for.
The spa is amazing and is about half the price of equivalent services in the US.

Laguna Seca stands as one of the few destination hotels in Peru worth visiting for its own sake. Where else can you have a private hot-spring fed mini-pool in your own room, or three large public pools fed directly from mineral-rich geothermal water, changed twice-weekly? The grounds are peaceful, well tended and green. The staff is attentive and capable, although the front desk was a bit slow on check-in and check-out.

The rooms were clean, and in addition to the huge tub/small pool that takes about 10 minutes to fill with the natural spring water, they are well appointed. There is satellite television, reliable wifi internet, comfortable beds and pillows, and a portable heater available on demand to combat the cold Andean nights. The on-site restaurant is very good, although the service is slow and the prices higher than other restaurants in Cajamarca. We enjoyed horseback riding around the premises on Peruvian paso mounts and visiting their farm to see the different animals. Our kids enjoyed the playground and the alpacas munching the grass nearby.

Although we didn't visit the spa on this trip, on previous visits we found it to be very good. Either for families or for a romantic getaway, Laguna Seca is a great place to stay.

Great place. Great surroundings. Excellent opportunity to find some time to enjoy the thermal pools and turkish baths that use the water from the hotels own thermal springs. Good Food, excellent massage. Total relax.
