The Olite Parador is a great place to stay. The historic building of the parador and the village a worth a weekend stay. Everybody who likes good wine, good food and enjoy beautiful landscapes should accommodate in the Parador of Olite.

Lovely castle, etc, as one expects with a Parador, but even on a Golden Days package, the rooms are overpriced given that they are in a modern annexe. The breakfast, included in the package, is wonderful, but the evening meal is overpriced and not very good, and the surrounding countryside is boring.

Possibly the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. There is no Guest Parking whatsoever. We were directed to park outside the Hidstoric Centre's walls in a totally unsecure carpark. Wi-fi, though promised, never worked in the room. We were given one of the rooms in the "modern wing". Paper thin walls, we could hear our fellow guests breathing. At midnight we were woken by guests talking and laughing in the hallway. The local youth, or yobos, kept us awake outside the room till well past midnight. The front area of the hotel seems to be monopolised by screaming children. Tiny bathroom, we had to close the door to get to the wash basin. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast excellent. We are great fans of the Parador chain generally but this is a hotel to be avoided.

We were staying in one of the premium rooms in the main castle and it was truly a delightful room, full of the atmosphere you might expect in a castle. The bathroom showed some signs of wear and may be due a refit soon. We missed the wine festival by one day, but the town was still busy. Evening meal was excellent as was the breakfat. All in all a very pleasant stay albeit on the expensive side.
