My partner and I spent a few days there in early November. The weather was still good enough for walking and even a bit of swimming. The owners were friendly and very helpful, the food and drink very good. The room we had was very comfortable and gave out onto the pool terrace. The hotel was only half full and was very quiet, though there was plenty of opportunity to chat to other guests, who were mainly German. You can walk along marked footpaths from the hotel to the coast at Puerto Soller, or into the interesting town of Soller, which takes about an hour and would be a bit testing in the dark. You really need a car, and the 500 metre track from the road down to the hotel is extremely rustic. My only complaint, which is a mild one, was that the decision about whether or not there would be an evening meal was taken on the day itself, which made planning trips slightly awkward.
