“nice small hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed here in january for 1 night b&b. Easy to find and good parking facilities.

Our room was fine, pretty basic decor , but clean. The bed was comfortable, even tho i personally dont like those double beds where its really 2 singles joined together, because they always then have a ridge down the middle.

Nice strong shower, but there was not enough hot water to have a bath. Also the bathroom door was difficult to close.

We had dinner that evening, it was pretty good but the menu is limited .

Breakfast next morning was only ok, average quality of sausages pudding etc, I ordered the vegetarian option myself and did not eat much. I felt like the egg was not fresh, and the mushrooms tasted strange, so i just had tomato and toast.

Overall its an ok hotel, but with room for improvement

“We often stay here though we live only 22 miles away!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Lovely friendly hotel, the proprietors are very friendly and know us well at this stage, we always stop here for food on our way from the Galtee or Ballyhoura mountains, it is always a treat after a hard day and the food never disappoints. Could not even have dessert the last time I stayed, the soup & main course were so filling! Also have stayed over for functions as it is cheaper than a taxi and I enjoy the Guinness! - the pints here are great. Cannot hesitate to recommend this place as a home from home for visitors to the Ballyhoura region or the Galtee Mountains. Peter & Ita H.

“Fantastic hotel! Very clean, great breakfast and lovely staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

Spent two nightsat this hotel whilst visiting friends who live in the area. The hotel was worth every penny. We initially had to changethe date of our stay due to illness but the staff were more than happy to help. We rebooked our trip at short notice and they still managed to put us in a lovely big room with a great view.

Im very particular when it comes to cleanliness and its not very often i feel comfy enough to feel at home in a hotel as i am a bit of a clean freak but i couldnt fault this hotel. It was spotless and felt clean enough for me to relax and feel at home.

“Excellent family run hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

My wife and myself stayed in the Deebert House Hotel at the beginning of this year and we loved our stay there. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home as this hotel has a real homely feel about it. The owners are fantastic and were extremely welcoming.

Our room was completely spotless and had everything we required. I wouldn't describe it as luxurious but it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable so we were happy.

The hotel has a small bar and restaurant in which we ate. Without exagerrating I had the tastiest steak I have ever had in this restaurant, it was superb; I would return just to the steak again! We stayed on a Friday night and the bar was pretty quiet, though perfect for a few quiet drinks.

We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
