This is almost the only hotel in all of Greece that I felt was really terrible. Because of a booking mistake, the hotel I had booked was full, and as it was New Year's Eve, this was the only hotel in Nafplio that had rooms. It was immediately obvious why: long narrow dimly lit corridors leading to cell-like rooms (large, but still cell-like) with awful bathrooms with chipped paint and old fixtures. The beds were uncomfortable and the whole place felt terribly oppressive. I couldn't wait to leave, and only stayed one night. There are so many better places to stay in Nafplio so don't stay here.

The hotel is in the center of Nafplio, close to everything. It is very quiet and clean. Rooms are not very big, but they are functional. The bathroom is very good in comparison with most hotels in Greece.
Breakfast is not out of this world, but it is quite good.
In the end, it is very good value for money.
However, it has LAN internet, which makes connections easier and faster if you have your own laptop (and of course it is free).
Service is good enough but not outstanding.

Room reminded me of a big cell. No shower curtain in bathroom . Basic pine furniture tv on wall no fridge. Breakfast disgusting inedable we went out to a cafe.

Basic hotel avoid go somewhere better

We have stayed at the Park Hotel several times over the past few years and have always found it to be fine. OK, the rooms are a bit basic but they are clean and well presented with a nice clean bathroom. The Park Hotel is located just on the outskirts of the old part of town, but this is just fine for us. The benefit is that you can park the car very close to the hotel and it is a level walk to the center which takes only a few minutes. This is ideal for me and my dodgey knee which dosen't like the steps too much! It dosen't have the atmosphere of the smaller pensions in the center of the old town but it is still a good place to stay. We tend to book in advance with Alpharooms.
