We spent three glorious nights here on our Greece & Turkey trip.
We had abit of trouble locating the hotel. We stopped 2 gentlemen in the town square(locals). One of them took the address and walked into another hotel there and got the info where it was. They spoke very little English..and we speak no Greek! He waived down a police car and explained to them that we needed help getting to the hotel. The policemen said "follow us"...and so we did with our rental car. It was up a good size, curvy hill. We would have never found it on our own. How can you beat a police escort to your charming hotel?? Parking is free.
The Zoto brothers are SUPER nice...one showed us the rooms that were open and let us choose the one we wanted. Rooms were nice size, we opted for a view room. Entire place is laid out in separate buildings...all charming and clean. Some of the rooms have the old Dutch doors...where the top can open, but the bottom remains locked. We enjoyed the fresh air more than the a/c. Bathroom and shower were pretty small...no wash cloths. Plenty of hot water & good water pressure. As in most other hotels in Greece, you cannot put tissue/paper down the toilet, as the pipes are so old & small. Wastebasket is nearby toilet. Mature vines and plants were all around. A couple house cats like to sit out on the stone ledges and get their zzz's. There is a lovely open terrace that breakfast is served on. I would recommend you having it for the low price. Internet service is out there too(though slow). In the afternoon, you can get a beer or glass or wine from them(the desk is right there) and enjoy a drink..or you can bring your own out. It was all very reasonable. You simply go out the front area of the complex, walk down some stairs and are in town. It's a short 8-10 minute walk to the center and the water. The town is a dream. There is not that much to actually do in the town. The town IS the main attraction, as it soooo charming. Many good restaurants, a DEEEElicious gelato/ice cream shop, upscale stores, etc. A perfect place to take the evening stroll.
I cannot tell you just how special and pretty this town is You will have to see it for yourself.
