I stayed at Mvuu Camp. Wilderness Safaris has two sites in the Park which are linked by a dirt road. The Lodge is more expensive and luxurious than the camp. I chose to stay at the camp. It has I believe 10 chalets - tents that are built on concrete blocks. Each chalet has it's own little patio with a couple of chairs. My chalet (Chalet A) directly faced the Shire river. It was an amazing view. The room had two twin beds, a place to hang your clothing and an insuite bathroom. There was a bathtub and shower along with a flush toilet. The dining room was a short walk away. Each morning you had a choice of cereal, fruit, toast, egg, sausage - in other words a full breakfast. I never had lunch at the camp, but we did have sandwiches packed when we went out on safari. They were made on fresh bread and were absolutely delicious. I was there for four nights and dinner was different every night. I noticed that they offered vegetarian options for those people who did not eat meat. I took a boat safari and was not disappointed. Saw hippo, elephant, many different species of birds. My stay at the camp revolved around Nanthomba School which was built in partnership by HELP Malawi and Wilderness Safaris, so I did not partake of all the activities that were available. I know that tours of the school are available, I would highly recommend it. The kids are amazing. There is a pool on the premises which looked quite inviting since it was at least 104. I know that walking safaris are available as well as driving safaris. I can't say enough wonderful things about the camp. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
