My wife and I tend to stay at La Quinta's when traveling because of their pet friendly policy. While searching for one around Little Rock close to I-40, this one showed up. I was immediately interested because of the location, and the price (triple A rate below $50).
When we arrived, I went to check in. Another women walked in behind me to ask for a room. She was told, I'm sorry all the rooms are already reserved. I found this to be very odd, seeing that the parking lot was mostly empty (at midnight) and the area where we parked had 4-5 cars. Upon later reading reviews, I found out that this hotel is a known spot for prostitutes and their "john's", I'm guessing who reserve rooms through the night. The "security guard" was almost asleep in the chair almost in the lobby.
The room wasn't bad. There were some hairs around the room but we tend to let that slide. The bed's were small but comfortable. Be warned, the walls are very very thin. Our neighbors had kids who they let play and scream until late hours.
Overall, we didn't feel the safest in the room. (car alarms going off through the night)
Moral of the story : You get what you pay for.
