Fully recommend this place - the website gives a very accurate picture. You may not get the newest facilities, but that's also not what you are paying for. It says somewhere that they are upscale camping. It's definitely better than that.

This place is amazing. At first I thought the name seemed a little cheesy but after one day I realized that it actually earns the title. With facilities and lessons for circus, kiting, yoga, ji jitsu, crossfit, skateboarding and more this place is extremely fun! It also has the best restaurant in all of Cabarete as far as I'm concerned. The best surf spot in DR is just down the road as well. The staff is more like fellow travelers enjoying, and helping you enjoy, all that the hotel and area has to offer. This place is best for people who enjoy being active and healthy. People with good vibes and no attitude. The rooms are modest but fine, you won't be spending much time there anyway and it's very reasonably priced. If you're going on vacation to just be drunk and obnoxious then stay away from this place. If you want to enjoy life with fellow groovers from around the world this is the spot. If you have kids they will have a blast. If you're wanting to learn to kite board Extreme Hotel has a fantastic kite school that had me going in no time. If you already know how to kite and want to play in the waves out by the reef then it's at your door step. If any one of the things that Extreme offers are what you're into then congratulations you have found the spot! It was a complete fluke that I ended up at the Extreme and I give thanks for it everyday. I extended my two-week trip to four and can't wait to get back. Hopefully my review doesn't overbook it:) PS: You can fly into Puerto Plata which is just 45 minutes away.

Amazing place with great staff, incredible atmosphere, beautiful scenery and endless activities! With Kite Beach directly in front of the hotel an Canarete a five minute moto taxi ride away, this place is unbeatable in terms of fun as well as value. I rarely leave a place knowing I will come back, but I cannot wait to return to extreme hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing, easy going, and unique carribean experience extreme hotel is the place to go.
