My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two weeks, and loved it from the very beginning. It is run by Birgit and Miguel who live there with their small son. They speak English, Spanish, and German, and were extremely helpful about answering our questions and offering us information. The price of the rooms is very economical. We had a double room with a refrigerator, shower, and a huge breakfast every morning for both of us for the cost of $30. The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed. There is a ceiling fan which kept the room cool and screens on the door to the balcony to keep mosquitoes out. We had no problem with them. Our room overlooked a heart-shaped swimming pool and a tropical garden. It is a very quiet hotel, which is only a five-minute walk to the beach. There is also a restaurant which serves dinner for a very moderate price. The people who work in the hotel are absolutely charming, and go out of their way to help the guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Cabarete. We had a wonderful time, and plan to return there as soon as we can. Birgit has said that she will reserve the same room for us.
