We paid 650 pesos (about 54$US) for a room and it was absolutely perfect. Luxury at a very affordable price. Modern, great pool, small, but super clean rooms. Wi-Fi, cable TV, AC. For the price, you can't beat this. Onsite restaurant is expensive by Mexican standards.

Would definately recommend this hotel as somewhere clean, safe, comfortable and reasonably priced. We spent the night here on our way back from Belize and Chetumal is a safe town with some good restaurants. Would describe it as a 3 and a half star hotel which has a tiny pool. We paid 700 Mexican Pesos for a two bedroom room which was clean and had a great shower. As Chetumal is not really on the tourist map the prices here are good, inexpensive drinks and the hotel has its own good restaurant.
The hotel looks like its had a refurb and everything seems new, would reccomend for a short stay especially if you are looking for somewhere to stop in transit to / from Belize.
