The Hotel Ambedjele in Mopti is the best accomodation we have found travelling around Mali.
Opened about 5 years ago and run by french/ spanish people it is beautifully located in a parfumed garden a few kilometres outside Mopti ( along the route Sevarè-Mopti)
There are two kind of rooms :standard and superior rooms.
Both are well furnished but superior are much better: standard rooms are a little bit tiny, wether superior ones have a very big bathroom with shower, tv with satellite and lots of space in the room furnished with a double bed with mosquito net , big sofa, table and chair. Minibar is also available inside the superior rooms.
Rooms are painted in warm colours with a beautiful touch of african style.
Both kind of rooms have air conditioning.
The hotel has a restaurant that serves delicious meals ( including pizza!) anytime, a very nice bar and a swimming pool.
At the reception a very fast internet service( free) is at the guests disposal anytime.
The hotel offers also a very quick laundry service at reasonable prices.
I would recommend this hotel to everybody travelling to Mali: the price is not cheap but the Ambedjele Hotel does worth at least a two nights staying.
